The trainsets manufactured in the Sri City plant in the bordering Andhra Pradesh state are under the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ drives initiated by the Centre.

The project is valued at Euro 124 million which include training the Chennai Metro personnel in operation and maintenance. The statement added that these trains would provide the residents of Chennai with an efficient and eco-friendly, luxurious travel option.
