Three New Vande Bharat Trains Launched In Maharashtra For A Better Travel Experience

With the launch of three new routes via video link from Ahmedabad on Monday, the number of Vande Bharat trains in Maharashtra has increased to 11, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These new trains are slated to operate on Nagpur-Secunderabad, Kolhapur-Pune and Pune-Hubballi routes.

Earlier there were eight Vande Bharat Express trains operated in Maharashtra by Western Railway and Central Railway. The two trains run by Western Railway are Mumbai Ahmedabad and Mumbai Gandhinagar trains while the remaining classifiers and trains connecting cities are managed operated by Central Railway expounded by these which includes Mumbai Madgaon, Mumbai Solapur, Mumbai Sainagar Shirdi, Mumbai Jalna, Nagpur Raipur, Nagpur Bilaspur and others.


As stated by Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer Central Railway, these three new trains are Vande Bharat Express 2.0 models and therefore provide enhanced efficiency.


"Central Railway has presented three more Vande Bharat trains with 21 updates to increase the comfort and safety of passengers," Nila said.


The eight-coach Pune-Kolhapur and Pune-Hubballi Vande Bharat trains will run three days a week, while the 20-coach Nagpur-Secunderabad train will operate six days a week.


The Pune-Hubballi Vande Bharat Express will leave Pune at 4:15 PM on Mondays and arrive in Hubballi at 11:40 PM on the same day. The Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express will leave Nagpur at 4:15 PM and reach Secunderabad by 11:25 PM.


Vande Bharat Express Kolhapur-Pune-Kolhapur will also be available three days per week. The service will commence on September 19, and from Kolhapur, every Thursday, Saturday, and Monday at 08:15 hours, one will arrive in Pune at 13:30 hours. The departing schedule for Pune-Kolhapur from September 18, will be every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 2:15 PM to reach Kolhapur at 7:40 PM. This train will also have Miraj, Sangli, Kirloskarwadi, Karad and Satara in its itinerary.


The Pune-Hubballi train service will also be operational on Thursday, Saturday, and Monday. Starting September 19, its schedule from Pune is at 2:15 PM and arrives at Hubballi at 10:45 PM in connection with the train services. In turn, beginning on September 18, the train from Hubballi to Pune will also operate, leaving at 5 AM from Hubballi and arriving in Pune at 1:30 PM, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. This train will also pass through Satara, Sangli, Miraj, Belgaum and Dharwad.


Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express, will be run six days a week except Tuesdays. In the revised timetable, effective September 19, the train from Nagpur will depart at 5 AM and reach Secunderabad by 12:15 noon. There will also be a train returning to Nagpur that will carry passengers departing Secunderabad at 1 PM and reaching back at Nagpur at 8:20 PM after making stops at Sevagram,Chandrapur, Ballarshah, Ramagundam and Kazipet stations.


Representing Nagpur in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recalled how passengers have taken to the Vande Bharat trains ever since the first such train was put into service in 2019. Nitin Gadkari also expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for bringing yet another Vande Bharat Express to Nagpur.
