The e-Visa system allows you to apply for your visa entirely online. Yes, you heard that right—everything can be done from the comfort of your home. Just hop onto Israel’s official government portal, fill out the required details, and you’re good to go. The process is quicker, simpler, and requires fewer documents. However, if you're planning a group trip, you’ll still need to use the traditional method.  

This smart platform works hand-in-hand with Israel’s Entry Travel Authorization (ETA) system, ensuring fast approvals and a smooth experience. It’s designed with travelers like you in mind, combining convenience with top-notch security.  

Why This Matters  

India has always been an important travel market for Israel. Let’s take a quick look at the numbers:  

- 2018: A whopping 70,800 Indian visitors set foot in Israel—a record-breaking year!  

- 2022: After the COVID-19 slump, Indian arrivals bounced back to 30,900.  

- 2023: This number grew to 41,800.  

- 2024 (Jan-Oct): Despite global challenges, 8,500 Indian travelers visited Israel.  

According to Amruta Bangera, IMOT’s India Director of Marketing, these numbers show the strong bond between the two countries.

Currently, the e-Visa is exclusive to Indian nationals. But here’s the exciting part: Israel plans to extend this digital service to travelers from all over the world soon. This step reaffirms Israel’s dedication to becoming a traveler-friendly destination for everyone.

This move is part of Israel’s larger plan to make entry procedures more efficient for international tourists. Before the pandemic, Israel hit a high of 4.9 million visitors in 2019. Although the pandemic slowed things down, the country welcomed 2.6 million tourists in 2022, 3.1 million in 2023, and 920,000 between January and October 2024.
