This MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) is special and signifies a partnership of its kind for raising the stock of this iconic event, which is going to be held between 7 and 23 February 2024, at Surajkund, Faridabad. One of the largest in the world, this fair on crafts is graced by lakhs of people from every part of the globe.

Through this agreement, the Surajkund Mela tickets would now be sold through various channels of Delhi Metro. Tickets may be purchased through DMRC apps, physical ticket counters in selected metro stations, and directly at the venue. In addition, separate counters will be established at the Mela gates for the easy and efficient collection of tickets.

Haryana Tourism’s Managing Director, Sunil Kumar, shared some exciting news: "Our partnership with Delhi Metro is a big step forward for the Surajkund Mela. It makes the Mela easier to reach, offers digital ticketing, and helps us connect with a larger audience."

But that’s not all! Delhi Metro will help promote the fair in many ways. There will be announcements, scrolling messages on Passenger Information Display Systems (PIDS), and promotional videos at metro stations. Popular metro stations will display banners, and there will be regular announcements to spread the word.

Delhi Metro will also handle parking at Surajkund. They’ll ensure 24/7 parking operations to manage the huge crowd expected. To make things even smoother, Haryana Tourism will share the DMRC app link on its website, so visitors can easily access digital tickets.

The Surajkund Mela is famous worldwide for bringing together thousands of artisans from India and beyond. It’s a place where artists can showcase their rich cultural heritage. This year, visitors can look forward to beautiful handlooms, handicrafts, cultural performances, and a special focus on theme states and international participants, especially from SAARC countries.
