On December 15, 2024, Nripendra Misra, the chairman of the Construction Committee for the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, shared this wonderful news. It’s a proud moment for everyone involved in building the temple, as reported by The Hindu.
If reports are to be believed, the Sword of Honour award is one of the ultimate awards available in safety management, being reserved for projects that comply with the indiscernibly high standards regarding safety. Thereafter, the British Safety Council performs a detailed audit of all processes and practices, followed by a site visit before allowing a company to compete for the Sword of Honour award by being rated in five-star safety assessment criteria.
The award recognizes the Ram temple project for adhering to stringent safety norms in construction under M/s Larsen & Toubro. The firm had received earlier a 'Golden Trophy' from the National Safety Council for its good safety practice at the temple site.
The construction of the Ram temple is making great progress! Reports say that the work on the first and second floors, including the temple’s “Shikhar” (top), is almost done. Everything is on track to be finished by June 2025. The temple will also have beautiful marble statues of Shri Ram Darbar and other important figures from Hindu scriptures. These include Maharishi Valmiki, Ahilya Devi, Nishad Raaj, Sabri, Muni Vashishth, Agatsya Muni, Rishi Vishwamitra, and Goswami Tulsidas. These statues are expected to be ready by January 2025.
The temple is being built with about 15 lakh cubic feet of Bansi Paharpur stone, which comes from Rajasthan. Some of the best artists and architects, like Vasudev Kamath, Shri Sompura, and Shri Jay Kaktikar, have worked hard to design this masterpiece.
The Ram temple is almost ready, and its safety standards show how well it has been planned and built. It’s a symbol of devotion, hard work, and following the best international practices. Everyone, from visitors to devotees, is excited for its grand opening, which is set to be a big moment in 2025.
