Bilaspur Deputy Commissioner Aabid Hussain Sadiq said that all necessary approvals have been granted for this project. The trial phase will start with the arrival of specialized parasailing boats of the company to the lake in the first week of December, continuing for two months.

To evaluate the safety and viability of operation, trials will be monitored by a technical committee comprising experts concerned. The trial results will form the basis of importance for any formal permits being presented to the District Regulation Committee for a structured operational framework.

And if successful, parasailing will soon become immortal at Govind Sagar Lake, making it an even more attractive water sports destination in Himachal Pradesh.

This lake stands to attract tourists for other purposes, such as cruise rides and shikara rides, so adding parasailing will only enhance the status of the lake as a prime hub for water-based adventure tourism.

Parasailing is not just going to offer exciting opportunities for tourists but also enables the locals to have some unlocking employment opportunities because they would require people to work in and around the activity, thereby enhancing the economy in the region, according to DC Sadiq. He also hinted at plans to expand the base further through water sports in the future, saying, "We intend to make Bilaspur a focal point of water tourism in North India."
