Let's Read Ahead To Know More Details About The Project:
Location
The forest builds in Malabar Hill area of Mumbai. It is a stunning elevated walkway 705 meters long that will connect its walkers to the glorious Arabian Sea. Careful consideration is given to the wooden structure of the walkway to make it blend amicably with the surroundings and disrupt as little as possible to the flow of water downhill and wildlife movement.
The birdwatching area is one of the leading features of this space. There also is a glass-bottom deck for stunning views of the beautiful forest view below.
The Park Entry
You can enter or exit the walkway from Siri Road, right behind Kamala Nehru Park. The wooden deck blends beautifully with the green surroundings, showing how well nature and city life can come together.
Budget
The walkway is being built with a budget of INR 25 crore. Even though there were some challenges, the forest is almost ready! About 90% of the construction work is finished. Now, tasks like setting up lights, painting, and building restrooms and ticket counters are in progress.
BMC’s Goal
The BMC plans to finish the walkway by the end of this year, just in time for New Year celebrations. This elevated forest walkway will give Mumbaikars a peaceful escape from the busy city. It’s not just a place to relax; it’s also a big step towards making Mumbai more eco-friendly.
Imagine walking through a forest in the middle of the city with sea views all around—it’s the perfect mix of nature and modern life. This much-needed green space will bring people closer to nature and offer a refreshing break from the city’s hustle and bustle.
