Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; it can only change forms. The total amount of energy remains constant. We all know this fundamental principle. However, focusing only on a limited number of sources leaves others unrecognized. Nature has no shortage of energy sources, and now renewable energy is taking center stage as an alternative to fossil fuels. To promote this idea, the new Solar Dome has opened at Eco Park.

Entry Fee For The Solar Dome At Eco Park
With Christmas only a month away, Kolkata offers a new destination to explore before winter fully sets in. This Solar Dome Museum at Eco Park is based on renewable energy. The entry fee is 200 INR, and if you want, you can even have a robot guide you for an additional 100 INR.
Prioritizing Renewable Energy
The museum features various models showcasing the importance of renewable energy as an alternative to fossil fuels. But science isn’t best understood on an empty stomach. Keeping that in mind, there’s a cafeteria at the top. The museum was inaugurated by Firhad Hakim, the Minister of Urban Development.
A Perfect Day Out
After the festival season, whether winter has arrived or not, Bengalis feel the urge to explore new places. Some even go on picnics with friends and family to both familiar and unfamiliar spots. For those wanting to spend a whole day within the city in a unique way, especially with kids, this museum could be a fascinating place to visit.
Eco Park: The Largest Urban Park In India
Eco Park is India's largest urban park, covering an area of 480 acres. Within the park, there’s also an island. The park is divided into three main sections. In 2012, Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the park, and in 2014, a special event was held here. The Newtown Kolkata International Kite Festival, organized by the Trust for Kite Enthusiasts, was celebrated here in 2014.
