Do You Have Any Doubts Regarding The Date Of Diwali?
According to our Hindu texts, it is believed that the first celebration of Diwali took place on Amavasya Tithi which is the New Moon Night when Lord Rama was returning back to the city of Ayodhya. They didn’t have any lights as it was Amavasya there was no moon light as well, so the people of Ayodhya decorated the city of Ayodhya and lit up all the streets and ways by placing diyas filled with the oil to usher the King of Ayodhya, Lord Shri Ram. This is how they rejoiced after the triumph of Lord Ram after the slaying of the evil king Ravana.
Is Diwali Or Laxmi Puja On 31 October Or November 1, 2024?
Let’s get to the purpose of this article. As per the Panchang, the Amavasya Tithi will begin at 03:52 PM on the date of 31st October 2024 and taper off at 06:16 PM on the date of 1st November 2024.
Going by the timings, the Amavasya Tithi endures on the new moon night of the 31st day of October, 2024, so the festival should be observed on that very night. Laxmi Puja has to be performed on the day when Amavasya Tithi will be celebrated which will be on October 31st 2024.
Now there is no cause for any confusion regarding the time to enjoyed the celebration of Diwali. Normally the festival of Deepawali in its real sense is celebrated during Kartik Amavasya which happens to be tomorrow.
Deepawali is such a festival which is celebrated with a lot of cheerfulness and zeal and there is no celebration without the family, hence this year, let Diwali be celebrated with friends and loved ones creating some joyous moments with them.
