Tourism Australia has launched its new annual travel list, "Australia Recommends: 15 Places to Come & Say G'day in 2024." The list is designed to inspire travelers to experience Australia through the eyes of locals and features destinations based on Tourism Australia's top-performing social media posts.

The list is endorsed by well-known Australian personalities, including:
Rose Byrne: Actress and producer
King Stingray: Yolŋu surf rock band
Magdalena Roze: Artist and photographer
Curtis Stone: Chef and restaurateur
"No one knows a destination better than its locals," said Nishant Kashikar, Country Manager – India & Gulf, Tourism Australia. "This is why travelers consider local recommendations as a sure way to have the most authentic experience of a place."
"This list comes at a time when Indians are drawing up their travel goals and bucket lists for 2024," Kashikar added. "Our aim is to spotlight the wonders of Australia as suggested by locals that truly makes it a destination like no other. We hope this will inspire Indians to Come and Say G'day, and experience the legendary Aussie way of life."
The 15 destinations on the list are:
1. Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Northern Territory: Home to the iconic Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), this is a must-visit for any traveler to Australia.
2. The Great Barrier Reef, Queensland: The world's largest coral reef system is a natural wonder that can be explored by snorkeling, diving, or sailing.
3. Whitsunday Islands, Queensland: This group of islands is known for its white-sand beaches and turquoise waters.
4. Sydney Opera House, New South Wales: The Sydney Opera House is a landmark you can't miss in Sydney.
5. Melbourne Cricket Ground, Victoria: This is the largest stadium in Australia and is home to the Melbourne Cricket Club.
6. Bondi Beach, New South Wales: This is one of the most popular beaches in Australia and is a great place to relax, swim, or surf.
7. Daintree Rainforest, Queensland: This is a truly special place – a rainforest that's been around for millions of years. No wonder it's home to such an incredible variety of wildlife
8. Blue Mountains, New South Wales: Just west of Sydney, you'll find the Blue Mountains, a breathtaking range known for its natural beauty.
9. Tasmania: This island state is known for its rugged beauty, pristine wilderness, and delicious food and wine.
10. Margaret River, Western Australia: This region is known for its wineries, beaches, and surf breaks.
11. Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia: This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to a variety of marine life, including whale sharks.
12. The Kimberley, Western Australia: This is a remote region of Western Australia known for its rugged outback landscapes and Aboriginal culture.
13. Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory: This is Australia's largest national park and is home to a variety of Aboriginal rock art sites.
14. Flinders Ranges, South Australia: The Flinders Ranges, located in South Australia, are famous for their stunning and rugged landscapes.
15. Lord Howe Island, New South Wales: This is a small island located off the coast of New South Wales and is known for its pristine environment and limited visitor numbers.
Tourism Australia's social media channels connect with more than 19 million people worldwide, and the Australia Recommends list gives us a glimpse into the destinations that travelers from all over the globe are excited to discover.
