Nagaland's Hornbill Festival Soars with 78,000 Visitors in First 5 Days!

The Hornbill Festival of Nagaland has attracted over 78,000 visitors in the first five days,  including 1,621 foreigners,  according to official data. This is a significant increase from last year,  when the festival drew in a total of 68,000 visitors.

The 10-day festival,  which began on December 1,  is being held at the picturesque Naga heritage village of Kisama. This festival is a celebration of everything Nagaland! From age-old traditions to what's hot right now,  there's something for everyone with all sorts of fun activities and events. It includes:


1) Cultural performances: Traditional dances,  music,  and folk songs from all 18 Naga tribes.


2) Indigenous games and sports: Archery, Naga wrestling,  and log pull.


3) Art and craft exhibitions: Paintings, sculptures, textiles, and other handicrafts.


4) Food stalls: A variety of Naga cuisine, including smoked meats,  curries,  and rice dishes.


5) Fashion shows: Traditional Naga attire and contemporary fashion designs.


6) Hornbill National Rock Concert: A three-day music festival featuring local and international bands.


The Hornbill Festival is a huge draw for tourists coming to Nagaland,  bringing in lots of money for the state. And the best part? Everyone have the chance to discover and enjoy the amazing traditions and customs of diverse cultures!
